Frequently Asked Questions
-
Fractional means I work with you on a part-time, flexible basis, typically one to three days per week. I operate at Head or Director level, embedded in the business, providing senior marketing and communications leadership without the commitment or cost of a full-time hire.
-
I tailor my approach to your needs. Some clients bring me in 1-3 days per week on an ongoing retainer basis; others need a 3-6 month or full-time interim solution. Some just need a project sprint. I work remotely or hybrid depending on location and team needs.
-
I work primarily with founder-led and scaling B2B organisations, as well as not-for-profits, particularly in sustainability, climate tech, engineering, manufacturing and other complex or purpose-led sectors. Most clients are navigating growth, funding or change, or need clearer positioning and more confident communications as they scale.
-
We begin with an informal discovery call to talk through your organisation, your challenges and what you are trying to achieve. It’s a chance to explore whether working together feels right and where support would be most useful. If it’s a good fit, I will suggest a tailored way of working shaped around your needs, whether that is fractional support, interim cover or a focused project. From there, I will produce a bespoke proposal and we start making progress quickly and collaboratively.
-
Fees are shaped around your organisation’s needs, objectives and the level of support required. Every engagement is tailored to reflect scope, time commitment and agreed deliverables, rather than a one-size-fits-all rate.
As a guide, a typical marketing and communications review with strategic recommendations starts from £2,900. Ongoing fractional or interim support is priced based on the role, seniority and duration involved, and will always be discussed transparently upfront.
-
I work at senior level and bring judgement, perspective and calm decision-making that comes from deep experience, not theory. I combine strategic marketing and communications expertise with a strong commercial lens, and I am particularly effective in complex, sustainability-led and technical environments.
Clients value that I am straightforward, pragmatic and embedded in the business — not a distant advisor or an agency layer. I focus on clarity, credibility and outcomes, and I work closely with founders and leadership teams to turn ambition into progress they can see and measure.
-
Clients typically see clearer positioning and messaging that makes it easier to sell, stronger credibility with customers, partners and funders, and more focused marketing and communications activity tied to commercial objectives. In practice, this often translates into higher-quality pipeline, increased inbound interest, stronger partner conversations and more confident engagement with investors or funding bodies.
The aim is practical progress: marketing and communications that support growth, funding, reputation and long-term value — with results you can see and measure.

I work with a trusted network of experienced creative partners where it makes sense to do so. This includes professional photography, graphic design, video production and editing, copywriting and print services.
Where creative support is required to deliver the work effectively, I can recommend, brief and manage the right partners as part of the engagement, ensuring everything is aligned and delivered to a high standard — without adding unnecessary layers or complexity.
